Smiling Mind Starter Program with Workshop
Designed for individual Australian primary educators by Smiling Mind’s psychologists and mindfulness experts, this program has been developed as an introduction to mindfulness-based social and emotional learning (M-SEL). It will equip educators with evidence and trauma-informed strategies, resources and scaffolded lessons that can be implemented straight away. The program is available online, anytime, anywhere and all within Smiling Mind’s Learning Hub platform.
The Starter Program is a fantastic introduction for educators who are interested in bringing M-SEL to their teaching practice, and is also suitable for student teachers and educational assistants/aides. Content is aligned to the Personal and Social Capability in the Australian Curriculum.
In addition, this program also includes a ticket to Smiling Mind’s online, 90 minute Working With the Primary Classroom Program workshop. Connect online with a community of like-minded teachers and learn from our experts about how best to implement the Smiling Mind program in your school. Workshops are scheduled regularly and delivered in the Australian AEST/AEDT timezone.
Included is one workshop ticket plus 12 months access to:
- Our online, self-paced Primary Mindfulness Foundations professional development course for primary educators
- Our Primary Classroom Program for Years 1 - 6, including access to all resources, lesson plans, meditations and both take-home and classroom activities.
- A wealth of classroom, student, educator and parent resources available to download any time.
After purchase, you will receive an email from Smiling Mind containing your Learning Hub access key and a workshop booking link. To access the Starter Program, follow the instructions to register for Learning Hub and activate your access key.
If you are interested in implementing a Whole School approach to M-SEL, or would like to purchase training for all staff at your school, get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss options.
